Community Support Advocates was looking for a simple way to tell their story, communicate their impact, and secure donor support. So we created three unique video solutions that put a stop to the questions like - "What exactly do you do?"

Community Support Advocates

Community Support Advocates (CSA) is a non-profit that partners with individuals living with disabilities & mental health diagnoses for growth & resiliency within their communities. They are providing services that support day-to-day living, community integration & creative expression throughout central Iowa.

Mapping the Challenge

Welcome to the three-part challenge.
First, CSA needed a packaged way to share its story. Brand Anthem, anyone?


Second, CSA wanted to create shareable testimonials from those who have experienced hope, resilience, and opportunities through their services.


Lastly, the organization needed to gain donor funding for the Momentum Art Program, which was at risk of closing its doors after losing government funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Production

Interview outlines were crafted with each staff and service member's unique experience in mind; giving interviewees ample time to prepare helped them feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

The staple speed bump came when CSA, President Christina Smith, woke up to a flooded office two days before production began. Emergency plumbers were called to repair the damage and dry out the location we would be filming in.

Production day took a turn in a positive direction. Capturing 10+ interviews in just 48-hours of on-set production time. Everyone from the President to the service community members took a turn behind the camera to share their experience with CSA.

Media in Motion

CSA | Brand Anthem

After years of structural, staffing, and services changes, the CSA Brand Anthem is being used across digital and traditional platforms as a single source content that communicates its unique services.

Momentum | Funding Campaign

Often individuals with disabilities see art as inaccessible to them due to a lack of money for art supplies, knowledge or confidence, or the lack of a safe space to create. Momentum provides free art opportunities to underserved populations.

The Funding Campaign video helped Momentum educate donors on the program's impact and inspired financial support.

Today, thanks to the funds raised through this campaign, Momentum is still providing artists with disabilities a space to create.

Life-Long Services | Culture Content

Testimonials featured CSA members sharing the involvement and impact CSA has had through each of their life stages.
